What does real-time stream monitoring show?
Livepush shows your incoming bitrate, frame rate, and connection stability as live charts, plus the publish status of every destination in your multistream. You see your content flowing through the servers in real time, so an unstable encoder connection or a failing platform publish is visible the moment it starts.
Why does my live stream keep buffering for viewers?
The most common cause is an unstable connection between your encoder and the ingest server: the bitrate fluctuates, frames arrive late or get dropped, and platforms compensate with buffering. Livepush's bitrate chart makes this instantly visible as a jagged line. The usual fix is lowering your encoder bitrate to roughly 70 to 80 percent of your stable upload speed, using a wired connection, and choosing the ingest region closest to you.
What are dropped frames and how do I fix them?
Dropped frames are video frames your encoder discards because they cannot be delivered in time, which viewers experience as stutter or freezes. Anything above roughly 1 percent signals a problem, almost always network related. Reduce your output bitrate, switch from Wi-Fi to ethernet, close bandwidth-hungry apps, and pick a closer ingest region. Livepush's monitoring shows the drop rate live so you can confirm the fix worked.
Can I see the status of each platform separately?
Yes. Each destination in your multistream reports its own publish status. If Facebook rejects the publish or a custom RTMP endpoint disconnects while YouTube keeps running fine, the monitoring view shows exactly which destination has the problem, so you troubleshoot the platform instead of the whole stream.
Does Livepush keep historical stream statistics?
Yes. Beyond the live view, Livepush keeps historical stream statistics so you can review past broadcasts: how stable the bitrate was, where drops happened, and how sessions compare over time. This turns recurring hiccups into patterns you can actually diagnose.
What bitrate should I send for a stable stream?
A good rule: set your encoder bitrate to 70 to 80 percent of your measured stable upload speed. For 1080p at 30fps, around 4,500 to 6,000 kbps works well; 1080p60 wants 6,000 kbps or more. Since Livepush relays a single stream to all platforms, you only need this headroom once, regardless of destination count.
