What is corporate event live streaming?

Corporate event streaming (also called enterprise webcasting) means broadcasting company events, town halls, all-hands meetings, product launches, trainings, and investor days, as a one-to-many live video stream instead of a meeting call. Employees watch in a browser on any device; nobody dials in, installs an app, or hits an attendee cap.

With Livepush, one feed from your camera, OBS, or AV desk is transcoded in the cloud and delivered as an adaptive HLS stream over Akamai CDN: to a private player on your intranet or website, to phones and overflow-room screens, and, for public events, simultaneously to YouTube, LinkedIn, and 40+ platforms.

Stage camera + slides
Intranet Website Mobile 40+ platforms
No attendee limits
Meeting tools cap attendees; a stream doesn't. The same broadcast serves 50 employees or 50,000 over Akamai's CDN with no per-viewer fees.
Private by default
Passwords, domain allowlists, tokenized URLs, and geo restrictions keep internal broadcasts inside the company, and off the open internet.
Zero-friction viewing
Employees click a link and watch, in the browser, on the intranet page they already use, or on the lobby screen. No installs, no plugins, no dial-ins.

A branded, ad-free event page on your own domain

Embed a responsive HTML5 player in your intranet, SharePoint, Confluence, or public website with a copy-paste iframe snippet. No third-party pre-roll ads, no "watch next" suggestions, no platform branding between your CEO and your employees.

  • Player embeds in SharePoint, Confluence, WordPress, or any internal portal
  • Customize player colors, logo, and controls to match your company brand
  • Prefer full control? Use the direct HLS .m3u8 URL in your own player or internal app

Keep internal events internal

Quarterly numbers, unreleased roadmaps, and reorg announcements don't belong on the open internet. Lock playback down with layered access controls, so the town hall reaches every employee and nobody else.

  • Domain allowlists restrict playback to your intranet and company sites only
  • Tokenized, time-limited URLs stop links from being shared outside the company
  • Password protection and geo restrictions add extra gates for sensitive broadcasts

Every employee watches. No dial-in caps, no buffering.

Meeting tools were built for meetings, not broadcasts: attendee caps, "waiting room" errors, and quality that collapses at scale. Livepush outputs multiple quality renditions and each viewer's player picks the best one for their connection, from HQ fiber to a phone on the warehouse floor, delivered by Akamai's 300+ Tbps CDN.

  • No hard concurrent-viewer cap: 50 or 50,000 employees, same stream
  • Adaptive bitrate: automatic quality switching per viewer, no rebuffering on change
  • Akamai edge delivery keeps playback smooth in every office and region

Desk, phone, overflow room, lobby screen

The event's HLS (.m3u8) stream plays natively in browsers, on phones and tablets, and on the Smart TVs and signage screens in your offices. Remote employees, field teams, and the overflow room next to the auditorium all watch the same stream, no app installs, no IT tickets.

  • One .m3u8 URL covers web, iOS, Android, Samsung/LG Smart TVs, Roku, Fire TV, and Apple TV
  • Standards-compliant HLS works with Video.js, JW Player, hls.js, and every major SDK for internal apps

Record once, air it live in every time zone

Not every "live" event has to be live. Pre-record the CEO's presentation under ideal conditions, then schedule it to broadcast as live at 9:00 in New York, London, and Singapore. No 3 a.m. keynotes, no failed demos, no re-takes in front of the whole company.

  • Upload MP4/MOV recordings and schedule them to play out as live broadcasts
  • Repeat the same event per region or run recurring weekly trainings automatically
  • Mix formats: pre-recorded presentation, then cut to a live Q&A. See pre-recorded live scheduling

Instant replays for everyone who missed it

Someone is always in a customer call when the town hall starts. Late joiners can rewind the live stream like a DVR without leaving it, and a full MP4 recording lands in your dashboard minutes after the event ends, ready for the intranet, your LMS, or the on-demand library.

  • DVR window stays open for up to 12 hours of continuous broadcast
  • Clip key moments, the CEO's announcement, the demo, with a timestamped URL, no re-encoding
  • Automatic MP4 recordings appear in your dashboard minutes after the event ends

From webcam-simple to broadcast-grade hybrid events

Start with a laptop and OBS for the monthly all-hands. When the annual kickoff rolls around, hand the ingest URL to your AV team: multi-camera switchers, vMix, Wirecast, or hardware encoders connect over RTMP or SRT, and the in-room audience and remote employees see the same show.

  • RTMP & SRT ingest from OBS, vMix, Wirecast, and hardware encoders
  • Cloud transcoding controls resolution, frame rate, and bitrate without touching your encoder
  • Real-time monitoring of stream health, bitrate, and concurrent viewers during the event

Corporate Event Streaming:
Questions Comms Teams Ask

Everything about streaming town halls, launches, and company events. More questions? Visit the Help Center.

How do I live stream a company town hall or all-hands meeting?
Create a Livepush account, connect a camera or encoder (a webcam and OBS is enough to start), and share the private player link or embed it on your intranet. Employees watch in their browser on any device with no app installs and no dial-in caps. Most internal comms teams go from signup to a test broadcast in under an hour.
Can I make the stream private so only employees can watch?
Yes. Protect the event with a password, restrict playback to your intranet or company domains with a domain allowlist, issue tokenized time-limited stream URLs that cannot be shared outside the company, and geo-restrict playback to office regions. Internal events stay internal.
How many employees can watch the event at the same time?
There is no hard concurrent-viewer cap. Delivery runs over Akamai's global CDN (300+ Tbps capacity), so the same stream serves 50 people or 50,000 without the attendee limits of meeting tools. Plan bandwidth allowances determine total monthly consumption, and Enterprise plans offer petabyte-scale delivery.
Do employees need to install an app or plugin to watch?
No. The event plays in an HTML5 player in any modern browser, on desktops, phones, and tablets. The same HLS (.m3u8) stream also plays natively on Smart TVs and office signage screens, so overflow rooms and lobby displays work with the same URL.
Can I embed the live stream in our intranet or internal portal?
Yes. Copy-paste an iframe snippet into SharePoint, Confluence, WordPress, or any internal portal, and combine it with domain allowlisting so the stream only plays on your company's sites. You can also use the direct HLS URL in your own player or internal app.
Can I pre-record a presentation and broadcast it as live?
Yes. Upload the recorded presentation and schedule it to play out as a live broadcast at a set time, or repeat it across time zones, for example 9:00 in New York, London, and Singapore. Executives record once under ideal conditions; every region watches at a convenient hour. See pre-recorded live scheduling.
Can I simulcast a product launch to YouTube and LinkedIn at the same time?
Yes. Public events like launches and keynotes can be relayed simultaneously to YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, and 40+ other platforms, plus any custom RTMP destination, while the same broadcast plays on your website. One stream in, every platform out.
Is the event recorded for employees who miss it?
Yes, automatically. Viewers who join late can rewind the live stream with the built-in DVR, and a full MP4 recording appears in your dashboard minutes after the event ends, ready for your intranet, LMS, or on-demand library. No separate recording workflow needed.
What equipment do I need to stream a corporate event?
For a simple broadcast, a laptop with a webcam and free software like OBS is enough. For produced events, connect vMix, Wirecast, or any hardware encoder over RTMP or SRT, including the feed from your AV team's switcher at hybrid events. Livepush transcodes in the cloud, so one clean feed is all you send.
How much does corporate event live streaming cost?
You can start free with 20 streaming hours per month and no credit card. Hosting events on your own site or intranet with the private player, access controls, Akamai CDN delivery, and 1 TB of monthly bandwidth starts at $49/month. There are no per-viewer or per-event fees. See live hosting plans for details.
